Match your skill and wits in defence of planet Earth by moving your tank back and forth along the bottom of the screen and shoot endless waves of attacking invaders from outer space, shooting the flying saucers for extra points!

The player must strategically position, then fire his laser missile launcher attempting to knock the ever-attacking invaders before they can drop missiles destroying the defender's protective bunkers and missile launcher.

Space Invaders offers titilating sounds, dramatic play action and inviting cabinet graphics - the ultimate in retro arcade games!

This game changed the world and introduced Japan as a leading manufacturer to the gaming industry. In Japan alone, the 100 yen coin suffered a gross national shortage from the success of the game! Arcade machines went from being the sole preserve of arcades and found their way into coffee-bars, shopping malls and places where previously there had been none. Indeed, for the vast majority of Europe this was the first major arcade success story!
